Donald Trump will finally appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast, recording an interview Friday in Austin, Texas, according to multiple reports.
There have been rumors about such a show for years, including earlier this month, but Politico confirmed Tuesday that the two UFC enthusiasts will finally share a podcast studio.
Rogan, 57, boasted in 2022 that he had rejected several offers from Trump’s team to appear on his show, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the most popular podcast on Spotify with millions of listeners each week.
“I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form,” Rogan said at the time. “I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him.”
In August, Rogan backed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for president, when the conspiracy theorist was still running as an independent candidate.
“It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring,” Trump posted on social media afterward. MAGA loyalists also slammed Rogan at the time.
The former “Fear Factor” host’s podcast has a predominantly young and male audience. Rogan has become known for promoting conspiracy theories, including about COVID-19 vaccines and AIDS denialism.
While Rogan’s anti-establishment viewpoints have made him popular with many Trump supporters, his own personal political views have been harder to pin down. He has alternatively praised and criticized Trump while once calling Barack Obama the “best of all time.” Even after saying he supported RFK Jr., he immediately backtracked and said it wasn’t an endorsement.
Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has also reportedly looked into appearing on Rogan’s podcast, but any show with the vice president was not announced Tuesday.
